Drinking fountain amenities increased for residents of Port Phillip Council

Aquafil FlexiFountain Drinking Water Station in Port Phillip Council Beach Shore

Port Phillip Council have been supported by Civiq with the installation of over 15 Aquafil drinking water stations around its beachside precinct

Port Phillip Council, located South West of Melbourne CBD wanted to install drinking fountains for easily accessible and free drinking water for locals and visitors.

The Council understands that drinking water stations are an economical and environmentally- friendly product for those visiting the beach, reserves and market area. Port Phillip Council also wanted to keep waterways free of public rubbish and were keen to install water stations that would encourage bottle refilling over single-use plastic purchases.

Port Phillip Council approached Civiq due to their extensive range and experience servicing Australian Councils. They needed drinking water stations that would maintain a long service life in public coastal areas, and to be corrosion resistant in the salty air environment.

Civiq recommended the Aquafil FlexiFountain 1500BF drinking fountain and water refilling station due to its efficiency, allowing up to 2 people to utilise the station at a time.

The drinking water fountain is 1500mm in height, with customised graphics panels on both sides and an anti-graffiti finish.

The water station is equipped with two anti- bacterial bottle refill dispensers and complies with the Disability Discrimination Act with its wheelchair accessible design.
